Softing’s dataFEED OPC Suite is featured at OPC Foundation Booth at SPS IPC Drives 2016

Softing’s dataFEED OPC Suite will be featured in the OPC Foundation booth during the SPS IPC Drives 2016 Trade Show in Nuremberg. The demonstration showcases how the dataFEED OPC Suite integrates data from industrial automation networks into the Microsoft Azure IoT Hub, an open and flexible cloud service used to build state-of-the-art IoT- and Industry 4.0 applications, e.g. for predictive maintenance, overall equipment efficiency, or energy management. Softing’s dataFEED OPC Suite feeds data from industrial automation networks into such solutions and supports data sources such as PLCs and OPC Classic servers. In the demonstration shown at the SPS IPC Drives Trade Show, data will be sent via the MQTT protocol.

“Softing’s seamless integration with the Microsoft Azure IoT Hub is a great example of how IoT can fuel the Industry 4.0 transformation,” said Kevin Miller, Principal Program Manager, Microsoft Azure IoT, Microsoft Corp. “The combination of comprehensive Microsoft Azure IoT cloud platform with Softing’s knowledge of industrial communication protocols and OPC technology helps drive innovation in IoT.”

The Softing dataFEED product family enables reliable and easy-to-use integration of operational technology with IT solutions, no matter whether the application requires cloud connectivity, interoperability with standard OPC clients, or both. The SPS IPC Drives demonstration with Microsoft Azure IoT Hub underscores Softing’s position as a leading provider of data integration technology for IoT- and Industry 4.0 solutions.
